Welcome to Ready Chapter 1, operated by Ready Chapter 1, Inc. (“RC1,” “we,” or “us”). These Terms of Service, including our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, serve as a contract between you and RC1. By using readychapter1.com (the “Site”) or creating an RC1 account to post, review, or access content on RC1’s platform (“Services”), you agree to abide by these Terms. If you disagree with any of these terms, please refrain from using the RC1 Services.
Age Requirement
RC1 Services are intended for individuals 13 years old and above. Accounts created by users under 13 will be terminated upon discovery.
Account Registration and Security
To engage fully with the Site and its Services, you must register for an account, select a username, and create a password. You’re responsible for all activity on your account and for keeping your password confidential. Ownership of Your Content
Your Content is Yours: RC1 does not claim ownership over the content you create and post. Your intellectual property (IP) remains fully yours, including all rights associated with your works.
Posting Content: By posting content to RC1, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display, store, and reformat your content solely for the purpose of making it accessible on the Site. This license does not include selling or distributing your content outside of RC1’s Services without your permission.
Responsibility for Content: You are solely responsible for any content you submit to RC1, including any claims related to IP rights, accuracy, and any other legal rights.
Content Licensing for Publisher Challenges: If you participate in a publisher challenge or other special programs, you may be subject to additional terms. In such cases, those terms will override these Terms where applicable.
Our Rights and Limitations
RC1 reserves all rights to its platform’s design, functionality, and proprietary content. You are prohibited from copying, adapting, or misusing any part of RC1’s code, design, or logo without written permission.
RC1 may change or restrict access to any aspect of its Services without prior notice. We reserve the right to remove any content we believe violates our policies or applicable law. RC1 may access, read, and disclose any information necessary to comply with law, enforce our policies, address fraud, respond to support requests, or protect the rights and safety of our community.
Copyright and Content Protection
RC1 takes copyright seriously and adheres to U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) guidelines. To report a copyright violation, please contact us at team at readychatper1 dot com. RC1 reserves the right to remove any infringing content without prior notice and may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.
Community Guidelines
RC1 is a space for aspiring writers, and we expect all members to act responsibly. In addition to our Community Guidelines, users are prohibited from:
- Posting unlawful, defamatory, or fraudulent content.
- Introducing malware or engaging in disruptive behavior.
- Attempting to bypass security measures or misuse the Site to compete with RC1.
- Copying, scraping, or otherwise republishing RC1 content without permission.
Limited Representation
RC1 may facilitate introductions to publishers through our platform. Participation in related challenges does not guarantee an offer of representation or a publishing contract. If a publisher extends an offer, RC1 may require a limited representation agreement (LRA) to facilitate the connection. The LRA applies solely to the specific offer and does not extend to other works or future representation.
Account Deletion and Termination
You may delete your account at any time, and RC1 reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for policy violations. Upon termination, certain content you posted (such as anonymized comments) may remain on the Site.
Liability and Indemnification
Disclaimers: RC1 provides its Services “as is” without warranties of any kind. Your use of RC1 is at your own risk. RC1 is not liable for any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Services.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold RC1 harmless against any legal claims or liabilities arising from your use of the Services.

RC1 may contain links to third-party websites. Accessing these sites is at your discretion, and RC1 is not responsible for the content or practices of any linked sites.
